Aspen, COlorado

October 3rd, 2021

Andrew & Rebecca are so in love and an adventure seeking couple. They checked all the boxes for a dream elopement in Aspen, Colorado and it was just the project for the dream team. Who is the dream team? Erin from Sun-Burnt Studios for videography and I, Light Rae Exposures for photography. Little side note if you book us together we share our appreciation by giving you a 10% discount on our packages.

Together we planned their elopement personalized from what was meaningful to them as a couple and their relationship. They chose Aspen, Colorado because a lot of their relationship memories are from this Colorado town and they absolutely adore the Colorado rockies where the relationship started. They eloped in peak season of autumn for the Aspen's sprinkling yellow and orange leaves on the forest floor.

The day was warm, blue skies and fluffy clouds scattered across the horizon. We met up with them at a hotel where they were getting ready for this new book in their lives. Starting with the details and capturing the candids of the process. Even though we were working in a hotel room we still were able to keep the lovers separate and from seeing each other. Andrew got ready first and was out the door to gather up all his surprises he had planned for her for their wedding day.

Check out their final wedding video is featured at the bottom of this blog.

the first look

Andrew was first to the ceremony site. He set up a surprise picnic with champagne and a cake for them to cut for after they exchange their vows.

Exchange of vows

Intimate, romantic and of course Andrew had another gift for Rebecca that he tied in with his vows.

A diamond necklace to remember this day, moment and feelings to hold close to her heart. Pretty sure Rebecca's cheeks were hurting from the smile she wore all day. She really did find her Prince Charming to be the King of her heart...I feel like I need to play Taylor Swift songs to finish this blog up. "Hey Google, play Taylor Swift."

Okay, mood is set. Let's go!

First Dance with aspens as the audience

hotel suites

The Champagne has been popped, the cake has been cut, danced in the aspens and ran around the mountain side celebrating their love. The sun went down and now for the finale is at a different hotel in a presidential suite to sign the marriage license . Little 70s vibe with vinyls, a round bed that spins, foosball table and glorious patio views to enjoy.

Thanks for enjoy! xoxo marissa. signing out til my next blog
